“Backup management using BIP85 and BIP39”
darko;
Workshop
This Bitcoin-focused (crypto-compatible) workshop explores efficient backup management using BIP85 and BIP39, demonstrating how to derive multiple Bitcoin wallets from a single seed using hardware wallets for enhanced security. Participants will learn to simplify their Bitcoin backup strategy by managing one primary seed on a hardware wallet that can generate multiple wallets (e.g., three BIP85-derived wallets for savings, spending, and business), while also leveraging BIP39 passphrases for additional security on each derived wallet.
“Bitcoin: A cypherpunk liberation tool or an ETF for grandma?”
Juraj B.;
Talk
The success of Bitcoin and the famed and hopium-generating "institutional adoption" lead to capture, packaging and sale of Bitcoin by Wall Street, Trumpistas and others. Is it still CPAF (Cypherpunk as Fuck)?
“Getting started with TollGate”
c03rad0r;
Workshop
TollGate is a set of nostr based tools that enables you to become an ISP with your WiFi router and your internet connection. Users can pay TollGates with e-cash even though the users aren't online yet and TollGates can buy internet form other TollGates using e-cash as well. Lets learn to set this up so that we can stack SATs by acting as range extenders for internet gateways that others can't access yet.
“Hands-On Identity: Claim Your PlebName and Link It to Nostr”
Michi the Bitcoiner, Milan Mikule, ndee;
Workshop
In this 50-minute hands-on workshop, you’ll explore decentralized identity with PlebNames.org. We’ll guide you step-by-step through claiming your own unique PlebName—whether it’s a username, brand, or fun alias—directly on the Bitcoin blockchain. Using just your Bitcoin wallet, you’ll secure your name in a trustless, censorship-resistant system. Then, we’ll connect it to Nostr, hooking your new <yourname>@pleb.name identity into a NIP-05 provider for seamless use across all Nostr clients.
Bring your laptop with Electrum or Sparrow installed, a Bitcoin wallet (preferably hardware) with a tiny bit of BTC for fees, and curiosity—this is a practical, beginner-friendly session designed for Bitcoin enthusiasts, coders and anyone eager to take control of their digital identity. By the end, you’ll walk away with a functioning PlebName tied to Nostr, plus the know-how to navigate this minimalist, community-driven protocol. Join us to experience firsthand how Bitcoin can power a future of self-sovereign names!
“How to survive as a digital nomad on crypto in 2025”
Pavol Luptak;
Talk
In short: It is easier than in the fiat world.
Traditional banking, especially international banking, is unusable in 2025. It becomes impossible to send a few thousand transactions without the bank knowing the complete source of your income, your identity, the addressee. Blocking international transactions is a very common thing that affects most people.
The European crypto legislation MiCA has introduced complete spying on crypto transactions. Central exchanges have withdrawn anonymous currencies like Monero from the European market.
Realistically, living on crypto is getting easier every year than on fiat. That is why it is high time to break away from it.
In the following presentation, I will explain how to not only survive, but lead a comfortable life on crypto, taking advantage of both local and global crypto services.
“Reclaiming Identity: How to utilize Bitcoin for truly decentralized name systems”
Michi the Bitcoiner, Milan Mikule, ndee;
Lightning Talk
In this 20-minute session, we’ll dive into PlebNames.org—an open-source protocol to bring decentralized name registration straight to the Bitcoin blockchain. With a minimalist design that skips extra servers or sidechains, PlebNames.org sticks to Bitcoin’s core principles of trustlessness and censorship resistance. Anyone can claim and check names—usernames, brands, or quirky aliases—using just a standard Bitcoin block explorer. Plus, there’s already a Nostr NIP-05 provider that ties into this system, letting you easily look up <yourname>@pleb.name on Bitcoin, seamlessly working across all Nostr clients for a unified, decentralized identity provider.
We’ll walk through how PlebNames.org came together as a simple, community-driven tool that echoes Bitcoin’s original promise of personal sovereignty. There are no elevated roles—everyone with a Bitcoin wallet has equal rights, keeping it truly open and fair. Expect a look at how we built this protocol to stay transparent, sustainable, and approachable for all. Whether you’re a coder, a Bitcoin fan, or just intrigued by self-sovereign identity, this talk will shed light on taking back digital identity—no middlemen. Come join us to explore a future where names are truly yours.
“Solidarity vs Anonymity”
Joshua Davila;
Talk
In this talk I would like to share my experience with working in Palestinian activism where we sent over $300k in crypto to Gazans during the war to help them escape or pay for basic needs. During my time of working with people who were experiencing some of the worst conditions possible and navigating a space where there is a lot of scams and people don't easily trust, I found there to be contradictions between showing solidarity and anonymity.
“Strata”
David Seroy;
Talk
TBD - Censorship resistant, bitcoin backed stablecoins or bitcoin ZK Rollups.
“Swaps over Nostr: Electrum Submarine Swaps”
Felix;
Lightning Talk
Submarine Swaps are a trustless way to move bitcoin between your onchain and lightning balance. Electrum wallet implemented Nostr based swap coordination so everyone can become provider of swap liquidity and clients can freely choose a provider.
“The Death of the Bitcoin Pleb”
Karo Zagorus;
Talk
Today, for the average pleb, having a custodial account is more important and running your money over a fedimint is more important then being completely self-custodial, this is a new battle line where our cultural norms of the past of being staunchly independent and censorship resistant was thrown out into the bin. Many conflate custodial solutions are a quick fix for the problems with non-custodial solutions, developers claiming that it is the end of the line for owning your own money and now someone else have to have it. ETFs, Michael Saylor and their giant anti-money theory have put a line between bitcoiners who can no longer claim to be a revolutionary as the average pleb now descends into obscurity and just a call word for the "average joe", as once day it was a prestigious status for being a staunch defender have now devolved to an actual pleb "commoner" state. In order for bitcoin to progress further we need a new creed of Toxic Bitcoin Maximalism that will ride out the bad actors, actors that invented fartdinals, stamps, etc. But as long as people don't hold true to their principles with their aims we will have a void of a user class that was necessary to keep scams and frauds at bay. The bitcoin plebs have brought down Faketoshi, but now who will bring down the next adversary, a nation state? Who will have the courage to attack a nation state attacker that would try to change bitcoin? Did we really became culturally inept and blinded by greed for more dollar value? On this presentation we will delve into these issues and theorize about the grand future that super shadowy bitcoin users have under their sleeves.
